The Story behind the Penguin Family

This is a piece of graffiti / art that was painted by a client on the wall in the backyard of our Tralee Hostel.

“They can’t see us, they can’t hear us, we have no voice. We are a family, we’re hungry , we’re tired, we’re ashamed, we’re Homeless.”

This piece of graffiti reflects the expressed fears, anxiety, stress and embarrassment that homeless people present with on first contact with our services.

MORE than 300 people across Limerick donated over €15,000 worth of gifts to a Christmas toy appeal to help some of the city’s least fortunate

And Limerick’s generous public responded in their droves, with this year’s toy appeal the most successful in recent years.
