DFS event with Roisin Lafferty in aid of NOVAS
Thursday 23rd February, DFS and Roisin Lafferty hosted a design event in aid of NOVAS’ DIAL House.
DIAL is a six-bed residential facility on the Ennis Road which provides a long-term, home-like environment for young adults aged between 18 and 24 years who are at risk of homelessness. The residents, who were formerly in care are considered particularly vulnerable to homelessness. DIAL works to prevent homelessness among this group by providing secure accommodation, life-skills programmes and support to engage in education.
Roisin Lafferty, who was recently appointed as DFS Brand Ambassador enjoyed visiting Limerick to host this special interiors design event in the DFS store. She offered guests style tips on how design can help create #yourhappyplace. Refreshments were provided from Hook and Ladder and there were some wonderful spot prizes.
NOVAS was thrilled to be associated with this event with Communications Manager Una Burns stating that, “we try to provide homes for families and single people every day and an event like this highlights the importance of a happy home for everybody. We are extremely grateful to DFS and to Roisin Lafferty for hosting this lovely evening and for decorating our DIAL service in the city.” Roisin expressed her happiness at the choice to support NOVAS through this one of a kind event, “NOVAS Limerick offer an invaluable service to the community of Limerick. Homelessness is a cause very close to my heart and I am honoured to be able to aid such an important charity. This event shows the importance of a happy home for everybody.”

The make-over of the home will take place in May and an official launch will be held. We are really looking forward to the transformation of the house and the event next month.
