One for Ireland Campaign raises money for youth homelessness

In its third successive year, the One For Ireland Campaign has returned to its original issue of youth homelessness. The campaign is seeking everyone in Ireland to donate at least €1 to raise vital funds for charity organisations that support young people and children experiencing homelessness.

NOVAS is very fortunate to be one of the beneficiaries of the campaign. The money raised by the initiative throughout the May Bank Holiday Weekend will enable us to develop a new family room for people living in emergency B&B accommodation and to support children deal with the trauma of homelessness through play and creative therapy.

Children experiencing homelessness have many adverse childhood experiences and the impact can have life-lasting implications. We are seeking to mitigate the trauma experienced by children and offer support through a very difficult time.

Everybody can play their part and donations can be made via a range of means . Text ONE to 50300 to donate €2. You can donate online at www.oneforireland.ie and there are over 1,500 retailers nationwide participating. You will be asked at the till if you would like to donate €1 to the campaign. Some of the stores involved include Spar, Eurospar, Mace, XL, Applegreen, Starbucks, Fresh, Flying Tiger and pharmacies nationwide

Please get involved and give what you can.
