Response To Console Controversy
NOVAS Housing-Health-Recovery is a registered charity and approved housing body providing services to over 2000 individuals on a yearly basis primarily in the area of homelessness. We are saddened by the recent controversy relating to our sector particularly around the whole area of governance. From NOVAS perspective we adhere to stringent governance structures and have signed up and are adhering to all the relevant governance codes. We warmly welcome the regulation that was introduced to the sector in 2013 particularly for Approved Housing Bodies and we always wanted strong and effective regulation of our sector to continuously ensure absolute and complete public confidence.
We conduct all of our fundraising activity to the highest standard and although 5% of the funds we receive go towards the management and administration of our Charity, the remaining 95% goes towards front-line services.
