Welcome to NOVAS’ Spring 2017 e-zine.
We have had a busy start to 2017, as demand for our services continues to grow. As you will read in this e-zine, in 2016 we supported more people than ever before. During this twelve month period more than 3,500 people accessed a NOVAS service, this being an increase of 45% from the previous year. We continue to develop new and innovative ways to support people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or on the margins of society. 2017 marks the beginning of a new five-year Strategic Plan and we look forward to ensuring our services and supports grow is a planned fashion, rooted in evidence and good practice.
I am very thankful of your support in allowing us to do this. Without the goodwill and generosity of our staff, volunteers and donors we would not be able to do the work we do. We are delighted to be one of the chosen charities of The Great Limerick Run this forthcoming May Bank Holiday Weekend and look forward to getting our running gear on!
Please read on to learn about all the exciting developments taking place in our services throughout the country.
Wishing you all a very happy Easter
Michael Goulding, NOVAS CEO
