Street Outreach Volunteer:

NOVAS Street Outreach programme operates seven nights a week 365 days of the year, providing hot meals, a kind word and support to marginalised people living on the streets of Limerick City. Those availing of the service are among the most vulnerable in society. The programme is run by a group of 50 volunteers and is supported by NOVAS Staff.

Duties include – Driving the Street Outreach Van, supporting clients, picking up and serving food. Training and supports are provided by NOVAS. Shifts are available every day from 6pm – 8pm. On average volunteers would do 2 shifts a month and can select the days that suit them. Apply Here.

Volunteer Driver:

NOVAS is very fortunate to be part of the Foodcloud Programme.  Each evening we benefit from donations of unsold food at various Tesco’s around the country. These donations are collected by a team of volunteers and dropped to a designated service. This team are also called upon from time to time to carry out ad hoc driving requirements. Applicants for this role must have a full clean driving licence and be over 25 years of age. Apply Here.

Volunteer Fundraiser:

Fundraising for NOVAS helps us to raise vital funds to enhance and develop our services. On different occasions throughout the year, we require volunteers to help organise events, participate in street collections and coordinate volunteers. The fundraising team is available to support you along the way. Apply Here
